Cruel Summer kiteboarding (28/4/)

It’s been a fantastic winter with many new participants entering into the world of snowkiting – most of them with neither experience of boarding/skiing or using kites!!! Alas the winter is over and we are now going to operate a summer program running long weekends to various coastal areas to teach kiteboarding on the water. We will endeavour to provide details through a new website soon.

Cruel Summer in Richmond Park ALL SUMMER!! (10/4/11)

Anyone interested in getting to understand a little more about kites before considering booking up a trip should come down to Richmond Park in Surrey one weekend day for a free taster course in kite flying. Anyone wishing to try this out is welcome and there will be myself and another instructor there to assist and guide you.

Should you wish to book up a week or long weekend with Cruel Summer, we will endeavour to hone your kite skill such that when in the water or on the plateau in Norway, you will be ready to take advantage of the environment and not still learning the very basics. Again, all free…..

Anyone interested but lacking transport should let us know and we will happily provide a shuttle service to and from Richmond District line tube and main line stations. See top of this home page for contact details.

Dates here: We will be in the park on demand between May and December 2011. Please remember that we will only be there if the wind is 8 knots+ so please let us know ahead of time if you plan on coming down so we can advise whether we will be there. Precise location in Richmond Park is on the rugby fields next to Rohampton gate. If you come in from that gate you will see the rugby posts and hopefully some kites already up and some Cruel Summer banners flying in the wind if we can get them made in time….!
